What we keep, and why.

A plain account of the information this site collects, who handles it, and the choices you have.

Who is responsible

This site is run by Hervé ONANGA KINGBO, who leads HOK Ministries from Seoul and Incheon, South Korea. He decides how the information described here is used.

To ask a question or to use any right described below, write through the contact page.

What we collect, and why

  • Your email address, when you leave it to receive word from the ministry. It is kept in the ministry’s database so that we can write to you.
  • Your name, email and message, when you use the contact form or the speaking request form. They are sent to the ministry’s inbox so that we can answer you. The speaking form also carries the church or host, the event, and the details you give.
  • A payment record, when you give or pay for a course. PayPal handles the payment. We receive your name, your email, the amount and the date. We never see or store your card number.
  • Technical records. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs, such as the internet address and the page requested, to keep the site running and secure.

What stays in your own browser

Some things are saved only on your device, in your browser’s storage, and are not sent to us: the note that you have opened a door on the site or joined a waitlist, your quiz progress, and similar markers. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them.

The site sets a sign-in cookie only for the ministry’s own editor. We do not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers.

Who else handles your information

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. A few services act for us so that the site can work:

  • Vercel hosts the site.
  • Our database provider stores the email list.
  • FormSubmit delivers the contact and speaking forms to our inbox.
  • PayPal processes gifts and payments.
  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.

These services may process information outside your own country, including in the United States.

Links to WhatsApp, YouTube, Patreon and other platforms take you to services with their own privacy rules. The Fire & Word prayer circle meets on WhatsApp, where other members can see your phone number and name.

How long we keep it

  • Your email address stays on the list until you ask us to remove it.
  • Messages are kept for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the request.
  • Payment records are kept for as long as accounting rules require.

Your choices

You may ask to see the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted, and you may ask us to stop writing to you at any time. Write through the contact page and we will answer within thirty days.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your national data-protection authority.

Children

The teaching here is suitable for families, but the forms are meant for adults. If you are under sixteen, please ask a parent or guardian before leaving your name or email. If a child has sent us information without that permission, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this notice changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
